FOOD SERVICE WORKER / COOK

Full time position. Prepares nutritional food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors. Suggests menu items and assists in the requisition of food stuffs and supplies. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment. Helps maintain the cleanliness of utensils and equipment in the kitchen and service area. Maintains confidentiality while working with confidential matters. Position requires high school graduate or equivalent preferred. One year of previous institutional food preparation preferred.

DIRECTOR OF QUALITY CONTROL / CASE MANAGEMENT (RN)

Plans, organizes and directs the provision of Quality Services. Establishes policies and procedures related to the Department and to Utilization Review and Quality Assurance activities. Integrates all Infection Control findings and outcomes. Plans, organizes and monitors Quality Assurance, Case Management and Staff Services. Performs duties as the Secretary to the Medical Staff. Manages the Utilization Review Program. Manages the Infection Control Program. Interacts with patients, family members, medical staff members and other department directors on a daily basis. Maintains confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis. Requires a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Texas. Experience in assisting with Medical Staff Committee functions preferred. Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills required. Prior knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules on Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement preferred.

DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY

Plans, organizes, and directs pharmacy services for hospital inpatients and outpatients and the retail pharmacy. Establishes policies, procedures, and departmental objectives. Supervises department personnel and all pharmacy functions including establishing pharmaceutical requirements, stock levels, and the receipt, control, and issue or sale of controlled substances and other pharmaceuticals. Requires Graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American College on Pharmaceutical Education and current license by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.  One year of experience in hospital or retail pharmacy preferred. At least 40 hours of training in IV preparation and aseptic technique.

LVN

Full Time Position - 12 hour rotating shifts. Assists the professional nurse staff in providing maximum patient care, and assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each assigned patient. Under supervision, gives direct and indirect patient care as assigned. Requires a graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing, current LVN license, current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Prefer one year of nursing experience. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN / HOUSEKEEPER

Full time position. Performs duties involved in cleaning and sanitizing furnishings and areas assigned in the hospital and other professional buildings. Performs duties to thoroughly clean patient rooms while occupied and when patient dismissed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Effective oral and written communication skills required. Prefer experience in hospital or clinic setting.

PHLEBOTOMIST

Full time position to assist in hospital laboratory. Responsible for blood draws and other specimen collections. ASCP certification preferred, but Certified Medical Assistant will be considered. Experience is preferred.

CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Full time position. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, fills prescription orders, assists with monitoring drug therapy and control of narcotics and controlled substances, assists in stocking and dispensing of pharmaceuticals, and assists in maintaining records of pharmacy operations. Must possess ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions. Requires high school graduate or equivalent and current CPhT with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. One year of experience working in a pharmacy preferred.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Full time position. Assists with the maintenance of hospital buildings, mechanical equipment, power plant, and all functions including construction, maintenance, and duties involved in landscaping, planting and maintaining the outside grounds of the hospital. Knowledge of maintenance and facility repair preferred. Requires high school graduate or equivalent. Experience in facility maintenance preferred.

PARAMEDIC

Full time position and Part time positions available. Answers emergency calls and makes patient transfers. Administers emergency care to patients in emergency situations providing maximum patient comfort. Relays pertinent information to dispatcher concerning patient condition and maintains necessary patient records of ambulance service. Maintains vehicle and equipment in optimum condition. Requires high school graduate or higher, current certification by the Department of State Health Services as an Emergency Medical Technician, current BLS, BTLS, or PHTLS preferred. PPPC preferred, current Texas Driver’s License. Prefer one year experience in an emergency medical environment. Requires effective oral and written communications skills. Must be familiar with operation of emergency medical vehicles and equipment and possess ability to adhere to hospital, local and state guidelines in delivery of emergency care.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Full time position. Will provide physical therapy services for inpatient and outpatient services. The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing patient evaluations, creating measurable goals and implementing interventions for each patient’s needs. Requires graduate from an accredited school, current Texas license or actively be in the application process for current state license.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Full time position. PTA will assist Physical Therapist in working with inpatient and outpatient services. Requires a graduate of an accredited school and a current Texas license or be actively in the application process for obtaining the state license.

REGISTERED NURSE

Full Time Position - 12 hour rotating shifts. Has principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each assigned patient. Plans, provides, and documents discharge planning, teaching, and educates patient, family or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care. Assures the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel. Requires graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, current RN license, and BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Prefer one year of professional nursing experience. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Occasionally heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients.

MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

Full time position. Responsible for blood draws, routine lab test and instrument maintenance. Will be responsible for following the laboratory's procedures for proper specimen collection and processing, LIS registration and order entry, test performance, reporting results, recognition of critical/life-threatening values. Performs and documents quality controls as required, performs calibrations, and troubleshoots as necessary. Requires a minimum of an associate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or meet the standards outlined in CFR 493.1489 or493.1491 if before Feb 28, 1992. ASCP preferred. MLT will be considered with experience. Strong communication skills a must. Rotating on call schedule.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

Full time position. Under the supervision of nursing, the CNA assists staff members in providing nursing patient care, prepares records, and maintains a clean environment.  Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current CNA certification, current BCLS certification. Must possess ability to read and write, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions. One year experience in a medical setting preferred. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients.
